Man has been shot dead and many people stabbed around London Bridge

Police responded to calls from the public about a man seen with a knife on London Bridge today 29 Nov 2019 at around 2pm.

People on buses recorded the incident on mobile phones and brave members of the public dived on the suspect and one of them took away what looked like a very big knife away.

Police were then seen moving these people away leaving the man on the ground, police then were seen firing at the suspect and died at the scene.

Several people have been injured by this man before police could get to the scene, no one yet knows the number of people who have been injured or worse however an update has been promised.

Police said the man had a fake bomb tied to his waist.
A cordon will be in place for some time and police are asking members of the public not to go anywhere near it.

An HGV had also crashed on the bridge however at this time no one knows if it was connected to the stabbings.
