Trafford MV will be supporting the Trafford South Foodbank this weekend and are asking local people to show some Christmas cheer and donate what you can.
The Trafford South foodbank is a project founded by local community groups, working together towards stopping hunger in the Trafford local area.
Running up to the Christmas period Trafford MV is supporting this fantastic local group to help ensure people less fortunate have enough food, toiletries and cleaning materials.
Trafford MV have shown time and time again how valuable they are to the community, not only a great rugby club they do lots of other sports and offer lots of things for children and adults alike.
Over the next two weeks we will be setting aside an area in the club where you can leave the items you bring down and we will then deliver these to the foodbank.
Alternatively, if you want to give a monetary donation, we will ensure that items are purchased and provided.
The foodbank is happy to receive anything you can offer but they are particularly looking for the following items:
• Jars of Coffee or Hot Chocolate
• Cordial, UHT Milk and Fruit juice
• Pasta sauces
• Tinned meat, fish, pies and whole meals
• Tinned spaghetti hoops/shapes and beans
• Tinned tomatoes and rice
• Men’s toiletries
• Bars of soap
• Washing powder
• Sweets and treats
As a part of the local community it will be great for Trafford MV to support families and individuals in our local area to help make Christmas less of a worry but more of a joy.
Whatever you can donate will be very much appreciated by Trafford South Foodbank.
Donations are only being taken this weekend on Saturday between 12pm and 9pm and on Sunday between 10.30am and 2pm , so please ensure you bring what you can.
Goods can be left to the left side of the bar on the donations table
