A British Airways City Flyer aircraft that took of from Dublin heading for London had to divert to Manchester in an emergency.

The flight left Dublin Airport around 7.20pm on 17 January 2020 and got as far as North Wales before sending in the squawk number 7700 (Emergency) and diverted to Manchester.

All passengers complained about an electrical smell on board, the flight crew could also smell it and was seen getting treatment from paramedics once the aircraft landed safely in Manchester.

No passengers were injured or seemingly affected by the smoke, they all left in the normal way and waited to board another aircraft back to London.
