All roads around Timperley village was shut for hours after robbers tried and failed to blow up a Co-op ATM overnight.

The incident happened sometime after 3am today 8 March 2020 at the Co-op foodstore on Stockport Road in Timperley.
During the robbery attempt they left parts of the explosive live and bomb disposal teams came in and made safe the device.
No money was taken during the attempted robbery.
All roads have now reopened and it is business as usual.
