The family of Robert Eaves, aged 42, said: “Rob was a devoted husband, dad, son, brother and friend.
“He was selfless, kind and dedicated to his family and work. His enthusiasm for work was shown by his amazing career, where he was one of the most valued members of every team.
“Rob had always been a family man that loved finding new adventures; one being moving to Switzerland where the family lived a fun-filled life, and making friends from all different nationalities.”
At around 7.30am on Monday 25 May 2020, police were called to reports of a collision involving a car and a bicycle on Dunham Road.
Officers attended and established that a Red Ford Tourneo Connect and a blue bicycle had collided at the junction of Dunham Road, Paddock Lane and Warburton Lane.
The cyclist, Robert Eaves, was taken to hospital with serious injuries where he sadly later died.
