Manchester Marathon is cancelled again due to Coronavirus

Manchester Marathon that comes through Trafford and was previously cancelled due to Coronavirus has been cancelled again.

The marathon was scheduled to start on 11 October 2020 would have seen it go through Manchester City Centre for the first time will now get going again on 11 April 2021.

On the official website it said: “The ongoing uncertainty around restrictions relating to COVID-19 has made confirming the necessary arrangements impossible at this time. We apologise to the many of you who were looking forward to running in this much loved event, but it was important to us a decision was taken in good time before runners stepped up their training to longer distances.”

The organisers have also said that they are to hold a virtual marathon soon which you will earn your Manchester Marathon 2020 medal and a t-shirt.
