Sir Sean Connery who will be best remembered as the main character in the James Bond films has died aged 90.
Connery starred in many Bond films such as ‘Dr No’ and ‘Diamonds are forever’ he also starred in the film The Untouchables alongside Robert De Niro and Kevin Costner.
At the age of 16 he went to serve in the forces with the Royal navy and had to leave at the age of 19 due to some health issues.
It has been said that Connery who was a very good footballer was asked by Sir Matt Busby to join United after seeing him play, Connery refused and went on to a great and long acting career.
Connery was knighted on 5 July 2000 in Edinburgh.
He died on 31/10/2020 whilst in the Bahamas, it is believed he was unwell for a while and died in his sleep.
