Miller Homes, local house builder whose Novus development is located on Talbot Road in Stretford, has donated over 200 selection boxes to Variety, the children’s charity – helping them support underprivileged children in the region.
Variety North West are based in Stretford and provide child-focused support, helping sick disabled and disadvantaged children with physical or social development. The charity ensures care needs are met and in turn, contribute to improving a child’s mental health and wellbeing, giving them a much brighter future.
After the hardships of 2020, the need for support of such charities is needed now more than ever. The usual struggles faced by some families at this time of year, are made worse by the pandemic. Something as small as a selection box is such a big gift to a child and makes Christmas extra special. Miller Homes has been working with Variety for a number of years, organising an annual Easter Egg Drive for the charity but this year, the housebuilder has gone festive with its support.
The chocolate selection boxes will support vulnerable children across the region who, for a number of reasons, would otherwise not have any treats to enjoy at Christmas time
Lyn Staunton, North West Development Director for Variety, comments: “We are forever thankful to Miller Homes for bringing so much joy at Christmas to our children at Variety. We are so very grateful for all the support and kindness given to Variety from everyone at Miller Homes. Christmas is a magical time and those children less fortunate than others will now enjoy a special selection of chocolates on Christmas morning.”
Clare Noakes, Sales Director for Miller Homes in the North West, adds: “Supporting charities in our region is so important to us. That’s why we’re delighted to be making a Christmas donation and to show our continued support for Variety.”
