The regulator has today 30 December 2020 approved the Oxford/AstraZenica vaccine that has been called a game changer.

This vaccine is to be rolled out from Monday and will see everything get back to normal within weeks according to Nick Hancock, sadly until all the elderly are vaccinated we will continue to be in restrictions.

Cases are rising mostly in the South East however in the past few weeks cases here in Trafford have spiked, although expected to reduce soon, the entire Greater Manchester area actually is still well below national average and the graphic you can see below shows case rates falling in the North West which should keep us in tier 2 or 3.

We are all aware about the dodgy statistics and the amount of false positives the PCR tests are giving, however even though many do not like it, it seems it is all we have at this time.

2021 will be a much better year claims GM Mayor Andy Burnham, let’s hope he is right!
