A small tremor was felt yesterday (20 January 2021 in Knutsford, the minor earthquake measured 1.9 on the Richter scale.
The epicentre was close to the A5503 according to the British Geological Survey and happened just before 9am, the depth of the minor earthquake (Tremor) was 14 km deep.
After the minor earthquake we had a crazy day of weather from intense rain then the floods and snow, 20 January will be remembered for some time to come.
Earthquakes happen more than people think in the UK some are bigger than others and for the most part minor earthquakes are not dangerous.
