Three huge events are taking place in Trafford this weekend and with the weather continuing to be good thousands of people will come to the borough,
On Saturday the Courteeners will be playing at the Emirates Old Trafford cricket ground and on Sunday its the return of the Great Manchester run 10k and half marathon events, before all of that Manchester United play Aston Villa at Old Trafford at 12.30pm.
If you are going to the concert which is expected to be a 50,000 sell out gates will open at 4.30pm remember for this event you will be required to show proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test result done 2 days before the concert, spot checks will be carried out by stewards.
The Courteeners will not be on stage until 8.45pm according to the set times, Johnny Marr will be doing an hour from 7.10pm until 8.10pm, these times are scheduled.

On Sunday the Great Manchester Run 10k and half marathon events will get underway, the weather is set to be perfect for all the runners, thousands will run both events many for charity.
The 10k Elite races are what draws many people to the event with big named athletes due to run, the 10K race will see the route come from Deansgate area to Sir Matt Busby Way and looking at the route map looks to be turning back on itself again which gives the spectators one more look at the professional athletes.
Start times are as follows:
- 8.30am – Half Marathon
- 9am – Elite Wheelchair
- 9.25 – Junior Great Manchester Run (2.5k)
- 10.20 – Mini Great Manchester Rub (1.5k)
- 11.15 – Elite Women race 10K
- 11.30 – Elite Men’s race 10k, club runners/fast paced and Orange Wave runners
- 12 midday – White Wave runners
- 12.30pm – Green Wave runners
