Showcase Studios Manchester which is based in Urmston will be holding several events from their base at 2a Railway Road to raise money for a brain tumour charity.

The week long campaign will run from 18 October with lots of activities to get involved with such as a fancy dress, a cake sale, and a twilight walk in Urmston all to raise funds for Brain Tumour Reaserch.

Brain Tumours kill more kids and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer yet only 1% goes to cancer research for this type of cancer, this needs to change!

Brain tumour research is the only national charity in the UK who are looking for a cure for all types of brain tumours and are campaigning to get the right amount of funding that will help them to try and find a cure for this deadly form of cancer.

Showcase Studios Manchester are hoping to raise over £800 during the week of campaigning.

Katie Shinn from Showcase Studios Manchester said: “I’m taking part in this event for Brain Tumour Research because I really believe in their cause. This charity is very close to my heart as the The Principal of Showcase Studios MCR as my cousin aged 19 years old was diagnosed with a Brain Tumour early this year.

My cousin was diagnosed after experiencing several seizure’s in her sleep, at first this was thought to be epilepsy until further test where done to be inform that it is in fact a brain tumour. My cousin will be undertaking an operation on 18/10/21 to remove the Brain tumour.”
