Police have stepped up patrols in Partington after a rise in burglary and theft from cars in the area of the past month.
In one incident around the petrol station where a car was smashed up, 4 youths were detained for causing significant criminal damage on someones car, police are working with the youth offending service to try and put a stop on this kind of crime.
Police have also said that over the past two week their has been an increase in burglary.
These offences have taken place in the evening & overnight in the following areas: Walnut Road, Cherry Walk, Wood Lane, Cross Lane West & Worthington Avenue.
Officers ask you to ensure that your doors and windows are locked and secured.
The victims of these offences have all received follow up visits from a member of the team.
Partington has also seen an increase in theft from vehicles where vans have been targeted and robbed These offences occurred on Chestnut Walk, Oak Road & Moss Lane.
Again victims have been visited and we must advise you where possible to remove expensive tools from your vehicles and store them safely overnight.
This type of anti social behaviour can happen anywhere not just in Partington and it is hoped police with partners can reduce the problems in Partington and other areas of Trafford.
