A man has been arrested in Baguley after police whilst carrying out a warrant on a property found a suspected firearm.
Police attended the address at Hallwood Road in Baguley just after 11.30pm on 11 November 2021.
As a result a 43-year-old man was arrested on possession of having a firearm and has since been released under investigation, while the firearm been sent of for analysis .Detective Christopher Potter, of GMP’s City of Manchester South Division, said: “More than 100 firearms were recovered by Greater Manchester Police last year and this demonstrates our commitment to taking firearms off the street.
“This result takes another suspected firearm off the streets that could have been used in a criminal activity or fallen into the wrong hands.
