On March 12 and 13 the Dunham Massey duathlon takes place where competitors cycle through the lanes of Dunham Massey.

The running event is through Broadheath, both events will start near Broadheath Community Centre.

This event on the 12 March we are told has no road closures and with almost 100 competitors taking part the back lanes of Dunham Massey will be full of speeding cyclists trying to get the best time possible.

On the 13th will be the Dunham Sprint event starting at 9am, this is a longer route and although its for all levels and abilities it will be much faster, the event will also be chipped timed.

Because of the time the event is on the back lanes are mostly quiet although if competing you should keep a look out for potholes.

No marshals are going to be on the course although the organiser has said the route will be signposted and have cones.

The route takes in Sinderland Lane, Gorsey Lane, Dunham Road, Station Road, Woodhouse Lane, School Lane, Whitehouse Lane, and back on to Sinderland Lane.

The event organisers have won awards for this duathlon even this year they got the Triathlon England Northwest Go Tri initiative of the year 2022.

You can park the car at Waitrose which is just over the road from the start of the event, the organiser has stated you get two hours for free, you are not allowed to park on Bramley Farm.
