Sinderland Lane will be closed from April 4 to the 8th as a large part of the road will be resurfaced that starts just before Darker Lane and ends near the church.

Once past Whitehouse Lane the road is dreadful many people have long asked Political Councillors and the local MP to get this road sorted out for all road users.

Huge potholes are also a danger to cyclists, they cause problems for motorists and even buses, we recall a 247 bus from Partington getting stuck in one on Sinderland Lane a while back.

It is expected diversion signs will be added nearer the time for all road users, we think the diversion will be SInderland Lane up to the church then turn right on to Red House Lane and on to Dairyhouse Lane and then back on to Sinderland Lane near Waitrose.

Motorists could go down Manchester Road and carry on to Carrington Lane and onto the A56 several ways, we think turning right onto Manor Avenue to the bottom and take a left onto Woodhouse Lane then a right onto Washway Road the fastest route.
