Lancashire Cricket Club has announced that the Foo Fighters concert at the Emirates Old Trafford on June 25 has been cancelled.

The band and family members will be going through pain after the death of drummer Tyler Hawkins following a gig in Columbia.

According to official documents a Columbian coroner stated that the drummer had 10 substances in his system which included a cocktail of prescription drugs and some cannabis, other drugs were not revealed.

It seems staff at the hotel including medics did all they could to keep Hawkins alive although it is not known yet if a defibrillator was used which could have saved his life.

Lancashire said on its website “Further details on ticket, hotel and hospitality bookings for the concert at Emirates Old Trafford will be communicated as soon as possible”
