Action star Bruce Willis aged 67 has retired from acting because of a brain condition that affects speech and language.

Willis has been diagnosed with Aphasia which basically means he will slowly be unable to string two words together, and will have problems understanding other people.

Aphasia normally develops due to a stroke or a brain tumour, some people with dementia have this condition.

His family including his ex wife Demi Moore are in his corner and with help from specialists will find new ways of communicating.

Bruce Willis acting career was successful, starring in the series Moonlighting alongside Cybil Shepard and starring in the DIe Hard film franchise, Last Boy Scout and many more, one of his better films was a comedy called ‘Blind Date’ which also starred Kim Basinger.

Willis already completed a film this year called ‘Fortress snyper’s eye and has several films in post production.
