Arriva: Strike to continue as pay increase not good enough for drivers

Arriva buses will continue to be off the roads leaving many people having to use other forms of transportation to get around.

The pay offer from Arriva from what we know is currently hovering around the 8.5% mark and this is not enough of an increase to drivers, we believe they want 10% some drivers want more!

With the rises in food and other things we all take granted for pay at the current rate in all sectors needs to be improved to cover the extra costs of living.

Arriva make huge profits every year and could easily provide a much better offer, this though seems miles away and so drivers will continue to be off the road.

This strike also in the end will hit Arriva in the pocket, it would be common sense to get around the table and offer more, the strike would end and the buses can start returning to the areas they serve.
