Remember the extreme heat we recently had? yea seems ages since we had the near 40c heatwave, next week we will see another heatwave but will it be as bad?
The heatwave this time will not be as hot as the last one although the temperature is expected to hit the upper 20’s, In some areas of the UK it could reach around 34 degrees.
We are in the summer months so this is normal for the time of year and although some groups of people need to be given safety advice about high temperatures for the majority of us though it is nothing new and we should enjoy the nice weather.
You should keep hydrated throughout and try and cool the house of flat down as much as you can as the nights tend to be muggy.
Wearing a high sun factor is another very good idea as the sun is very strong at this time of year and could easily burn you if exposed for a long time.
Some other common sense that needs to be applied during hot weather is for people not to be jumping in the water, canals and rivers are dangerous places.
Keeping the dog out of the car or van is another thing that people need to remember, even for a few minuets with the window slightly down could cause harm to your pet, keep the dog with you or keep it at home.
We suggest also not to be walking your dog in high temperatures as the pavements and walkways will get very hot and the pads of the dogs feet will blister up causing the dog to be in serious pain and cause the stupid owner a huge big rip off vets bill.
In the recent extreme heat we did see some dogs being walked which was in many people’s eyes cruel.
