The Hare and Hounds pub in Timperley could be demolished soon making way for 59 retirement apartments and 9 retirement living cottages.
According to the application proposed it says there will be 38 one bed and 30 two bed accommodation at this site, the majority of that figure will be one bed apartments.
The development also includes a car park which has space for 35 cars, a managers office and reception will also be built.
Good landscaping will be included in this sheltered housing development.
More homes like this will be needed in the near future as the population of older people is set to rise although should not be at the expense of the local community who like to go into this pub for a drink and a bite to eat.
With the cost of things these days and after needless lockdowns it has killed off many pubs up and down the UK as profits are slashed and these establishments end up on the scrapheap, with the only thing left for the owner is to sell it.
The full application reference number is 107972/FUL/22
