After years of complaints finally! Chapel Lane in Partington has been resurfaced.
Oddly though One Trafford did forget around 80 metres of road from the 5G mast heading towards the park however the new surface continued for the entire length to Moss Lane.
The surface is excellent, Probably the best treated road we have ever seen with low rolling resistance and good grip in wet conditions however we checked the sides and found it needed flattening out so all road users are safe.
Runners will be very happy with the surface for next years annual Trafford 10k road race so long as the very high sides are flattened as it could be a problem for them, in some areas of the road the height is up to your ankles, any misplaced feet and its a twisted ankle or worse, similarly if a cyclist misjudges or is pushed into going to far wide because of a speeding motorist this will result in a crash.
All but one bit of fly tipping have been removed and the trees have been cut back.
