Argos has been trading from Altrincham Retail Park for decades however it has since last week closed down and is now operating from the Sainsbury’s store in Altrincham.
The store was a favourite for many people and was widely used before the pandemic, due to the closures and people needlessly frightened footfall did not return, with the subsequent energy crisis and cost of living crisis and still some people scared profits will have taken a hit and so they decided to call it a day,
Argos is also open in the Sale and Urmston stores.
It is not known what business will be trading from the old Argos store, we hope for a cycle shop as its badly needed in Trafford, it would be ideal for an Iceland store or Heron to move in, we shall have to wait and see.
In the retail park we can report that the Homebase flower centre extension is not far from completion, the new Lidl store is being worked on as we speak in the old garden centre, it is hoped the new Lidl store will come with it a cycle stand that replaces the older one that was in the wrong place.
