Sinderland Lane that goes from Broadheath through Dunham Massey and back to Trafford again is now in such a bad condition many residents are complaining about the problems with one suggesting the road should be closed for safety.

The road is also one of the most dangerous in Trafford with many collisions and sadly some deaths through the years, the speeds people do is also of great concern with councillors looking to get the speed limit reduced from 60mph to 40mph.

As of today 1 January 2023 we checked out the road and saw something very concerning, in many parts of the road we saw deep potholes, some very wide and some hidden by rainwater.

This issue was not just on one bit of the road but for over a mile until you get to the recently resurfaced bit of road near the only bus stop on the road, after the resurfacing the road becomes bad again and lots of dangerous looking potholes are seen all the way to the church and on the bend turning towards Partington the surface is bad more so for cyclists.

A huge pothole was also seen on Covershaw Lane just past the small bridge that goes over Sinderland Brook which all cyclists will hit, until this is fixed we suggest to road cyclists to keep your eyes peeled.

Trafford Council of course are still on the festive break until 3 January and it could be some time before One Trafford mark out the many huge potholes to be filled in again, sadly the material used means the surface will break up again and the pothole will be back.

We are alerting people as we are aware a vehicle overturned on 31 Jan 2022 sometime during the evening, we are told no one was seriously injured in the Road Traffic Accident on Sinderland Lane, this may have been due to the huge potholes, if a car hits one at speed it could end up in a frightening crash.

Until Trafford has filled in the many holes we suggest people to be very careful if they need to use the country lane and slow down to avoid incidents.
