Police arrest boy aged 17 on suspicion of having a combat knife and drugs offences

Police arrested a male aged 17 today (25 April) after a knife was recovered by Operation Venture officers patrolling Old Trafford.

Operation Venture is the dedicated team tackling serious violence and knife crime across Greater Manchester.

The 17-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article and to supply Class B drugs and robbery.

Police recovered a quantity of the suspected Class B drugs along with cash and a concealed combat knife.
