Police have closed off Manchester Road in Carrington tonight (25 April) following what is believed to be a bad car crash with ambulance staff on hand to help those injured.
People on social media are claiming a boy was hurt in the incident and has since been taken away to hospital, the collision has caused a big build up of traffic both ways.
It will be sometime before the road will reopen again as police investigate what happened to have caused this crash and the removal of vehicles in the collision.
Due to the severity of the crash and the build up of traffic it might be best to divert if your going to either Partington or Lymm, head for Sinderland Lane through Broadheath.
