The Met Office have issued a thunderstorm warning for Greater Manchester on Saturday this warning also exists for the entire North West region.

Having checked radar we can see (predicted) heavy rain will affect Manchester from around 4pm which will include thunder and lightning for some areas.

The biggest issues will be the heavy rain fall mixed with it hail stones which will lead to localised flooding.

If you have to go out we suggest even if the weather looks good to bring a lightweight rain jacket as these storms build up very fast from out of nowhere.
