With 2023 on its way out and the New Year just around the corner we offer people some advice on hoe to stay safe on the big night out.
It’s simple common sense and awareness of your surroundings that will help you stay safe on New Years Eve and New Years Day.
One of the things we tend to report on after New Years is females splitting up from friends and walking back home on their own, whilst it might be slightly safe to do, its still not something we advise, always stay with people, if you find yourself alone get a licensed taxi home to your door.
Make sure you never leave your drinks unattended, this will prevent being spiked which we are aware is on the rise, if it happens you have been distracted and you do leave your drink for any period of time do not drink it and get another one.
With Manchester City Centre is the place to head to tonight be wary of pick pockets, keep all your items in a zipped pocket, do not leave your mobile and money in a bag left alone, treat it like having your drink spiked! only this time you will have the side effects of being robbed.
The evening will get much cooler so bring the appropriate clothing.
If you are concerned for your safety ring 999 in an emergency or find a police officer or tell a security guard or member of staff in any establishment of what is going on and they will alert police and protect you from whoever is causing the problems.
Following these suggestions will help keep you safe and have a great time as the year ends and that moment when the clock strikes midnight all the fireworks and people having a good time.
We thank all our readers for the amazing support through 2023 and we wish everyone a very Happy New Year and good health to Trafford in 2024
