Flooding and sand mound affecting country lanes to Partington

A part of Sinderland Lane near to Whitehouse Lane in Dunham Massey is currently flooded and as a result a mound of sand and mud which spreads across the road like a road hump.

The bus stop side of the mound heading towards Broadheath has a dip which has taken drivers by surprise, an Arriva 247 bus struggled to get over this mound.

Three police cars in full emergency mode suddenly turned up and was heard trying to figure out where the dirty water was coming from, it was then obvious that it was coming from a farmers field due to gushing water coming from a hose pipe.

It was not immediately known what the water was.

At the time our photographer went past and got some footage that part of the road was not shut although this might have changed since.
