Stretford Vics are a football club that has been in existence since 1977 and has junior teams as well as an open-aged men’s team. They are asking local people and those who love football to help them out.

They have been shortlisted by Grass Routes Projects and now need your help by voting for them. They will receive much-needed funding which will assist with equipment and other necessities required to run a football club.

You can do this by clicking here: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/17rATS3k2v/ The competition runs until 13th November 2025.

Stretford Vics have players as young as six and seven years old who show incredible dedication, teamwork, and community spirit—everything that makes grassroots football so special.

They also have dedicated, fully trained coaches to help the kids with all things football and improve enjoyment in a fun and safe environment.

A spokesperson for the club said:

“What we’re building isn’t just about football; it’s about giving local children a positive path, helping them stay active, healthy, and focused as they grow up.”

By voting for them, you could inspire more families to get their children involved in sport and help us continue building a safer, stronger, and more connected community for young people.
