Police officers from Trafford Challenger Unit and Trafford Neighbourhood Team executed a warrant at an address on Norton Street, in Old Trafford on 22 April 2026.
After a police investigation they swooped on the property due to alleged supply and distribution of Class A and B drugs, including cannabis, crack cocaine, ecstasy, ketamine, and spice.
Following the warrant being executed, a man in his 60’s was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A and B controlled drugs and was taken to hospital for health checks. He remains in hospital under police observations before he will taken into police custody for questioning.
Searches were conducted and several class A and B drugs were recovered, suspected to be crack cocaine and heroin.
Trafford Council’s Community Safety Service will be pursuing the potential closure of the premises at the Magistrates’ Court as a result of the operation in partnership with GMP.
Recently Police and Trafford Council closed down a property in Sale due to investigations of serious criminal activity taking place after several reports from members of the public, the property was closed down for three months and three males were arrested and charged with having a quantity of drugs, weapons and a large amount of cash.
Detective Constable James Atherton from Trafford Challenger Unit said: “The activity has been a success, and we now have a man in custody and have recovered class A and B drugs before they have reached the streets.
“Drugs blight our communities and organised criminals involved in the distribution of drugs exploit vulnerable people and cause harm.
