St. Mary’s, Davyhulme are proud to show the report from their recent Ofsted Inspection. Since the changes to the inspection framework, schools are no longer given an overall grading but are instead judged on eight areas which are:-

Safeguarding Attendance and Behaviour Inclusion Leadership and Governance Personal Development and Wellbeing Achievement Curriculum and Teaching Early Years

St Mary’s is delighted to have been awarded the ‘strong standard’ in Attendance and Behaviour, Inclusion, Leadership and Governance, and Personal Development and Wellbeing. In all other areas, the school was awarded the ‘expected standard’.

The Inspectors recognised that inclusion is a central feature of the school and sits at the heart of leaders vision for every child to succeed.They also noted that leaders are highly ambitious to achieve the school’s vision of ‘Building a positive future for all.

Inspectors noted strengths of the school as being: communication between leaders, staff, pupils, parents and carers; a highly positive personal development and wellbeing programme; positive behaviour and strong attendance. 

The school’s activities, as a Unicef Rights Respecting Gold Award school, empower the children to be advocates for others, leading them to be proud to be part of a caring, inclusive and ambitious school community, where they ‘make a difference’ each and every day.

St Mary’s is a happy, exciting learning community where every child is expected to work hard and do their best. Everyone who works at St Mary’s, or visits, is made to feel welcome and valued.
