Hale-based Rebalance Physiotherapy, founded by local lady Caroline Farrow, has been selected as a finalist in the UK StartUp Awards 2026.

More than 2,000 businesses entered the awards this year, which were designed to recognise the achievements of amazing individuals who have had a great idea, spotted the opportunity and taken the risks to launch a new product or service.

Caroline, who is a Specialist Neurological and Elderly Rehabilitation Physiotherapist, established Rebalance Physiotherapy in October 2025.

Her aim was to build a team of fully qualified and experienced physiotherapists, dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate home visit physiotherapy, in the comfort and convenience of your own home or care home setting.

In the last six months alone Caroline has grown both in size and scope. She now has a team of four physiotherapists supporting her, each specialising neurological, MSK and elderly rehabilitation.

She has also secured contracts for regular physiotherapy visits at six care homes across Cheshire and Greater Manchester, including Lovett Care’s Cheadle Manor, Bramhall Manor, Ashlands in Sale and Upland Manor in Northern Moor, as well as Highgate Care’s Cheadle Grange and Fernlea by Olea Care.

Commenting on being named as a UK StartUp finalist, Caroline says: “To be shortlisted and formally recognised as one of the North West’s leading start up companies in 2026 is an amazing achievement for myself and the team.

“It reflects our dedicated approach to the provision of personalised treatment plans which are tailored to our patients’ individual needs and goals, and ensure we always help them regain strength, mobility, balance and confidence. From hospital discharge to managing an injury or living with a neurological condition, it is our aim to provide expert physiotherapy in the comfort of your home, aiding recovery and making a real difference.

“Having expanded at pace since I set up the business, and with further growth in the immediate pipeline, it is clear that there is a real demand for high quality home visit physiotherapy, with a particular focus on both physiotherapy and rehabilitation within care home settings. The delivery of on-site specialist support for care home residents is a niche I have identified, and together with my team, we are committed to strengthening our presence in this sector across the North West in the coming 12 months.”

Attributing to Caroline’s success and a key factor in being shortlisted in the UK StartUp Awards 2026 is honest feedback from patients and their loved ones.

“Mum loved the sessions with you; they were a highlight of her week. Without a doubt you brought sunshine and interest with every visit! What you are bringing to everyone at Cheadle Manor who takes part in your sessions is absolutely priceless. I was so glad to have been able to join in with one of your group classes downstairs with Mum. It was plain to see how much everyone appreciated it.”

“You have given mum a pathway to independence and that’s huge.”

Caroline and her team will be attending the UK StartUp Awards 2026 regional final in June, from which they will learn if they are a regional winner and able to attend the national final in September.
