Police got calls from members of the public about an incident outside an Iceland store in Timperley, Altrincham yesterday 8 June at around 12.40pm.
They attended and taped off the scene where an assault had taken place outside the store on Stockport Road, two people sustained minor injuries in a knife attack and were treated at the scene.
Shortly after Police found the man alleged to have committed the assault and arrested him and is now in custody.
A spokesperson for GMP said: “Officers were called to reports of an assault on Stockport Road, Timperley at around 12:47pm this afternoon (Monday 8 June).
“A man was quickly detained and arrested at 12:54pm on suspicion of assault.
“Two victims sustained minor injuries. Enquires remain ongoing.”
