Huge 5G mast could be installed in the middle of Urmston Sports Club

A huge 20 metre 5g mast has been proposed to be installed at Urmston Sports Club on Moorside Road in Urmston.

The huge mast will have 6 antennas, 3 RRU’s and 2 microwave dishes either side and if approved will tower above everything else, residents who have already objected mention about siting and appearance and health impacts of 5G technology.

As of now 5G is considered a safe technology due to its low power and a thing called ‘non-ionising’ radiation, but many people all over the world including leading scientists and doctors are not convinced.

The mast will carry antennas for the network 02 which has increased its 5G signal to more areas of Trafford, network engineers will have chosen this spot based on a survey of the area and discounting potential sites however it’s not in the right place for residents or it seems the owners of the sports club.

Having a huge mast right in the middle of a sports club is not a good idea and expect more people will object to this mast which you can do by using the reference 119284/Tel/26 on the Trafford Planning Portal.
