The Met Office has issued a Thunderstorm warning for some parts of Greater Manchester for tonight and more so for tomorrow 27 August when it’s predicted we will see the intense rainfall and possible hailstones.

Weather maps show low pressure system heading north tomorrow which will stick around much of the afternoon in all parts of the North West, flooding is expected in some areas due to the predicted amount of rain.

Some delays may occur on public transport more so at the airport during the afternoon and some local routes could be closed due to flooding, some buses may have to be diverted or suspended; in that case, you must keep an eye on the Bee Network website for live updates.

Friday will be a day of showers for some places including Greater Manchester but for most of the day and evening will be dry before yet another low pressure system comes in off the Atlantic bringing more storms during the early afternoon on Saturday this shifts east leaving some showers.

Sunday will see widespread rain for much of the North West during early evening then turns dry for the rest of the evening according to WXCharts.
