In the past Partington had a bank and a couple of post offices in the area all of which have long gone leaving the area with just ATM’s, however from next week a new cash hub will be open for business.
The cash hub operated by both Cash Access UK and the Post Office will be providing all the services people need such as withdrawing and depositing cash, checking bank balances, paying bills, topping up electric and gas keys/cards and mobile phones, you can also pay in cheques.
At the hub there will be some representation from all UK banks for anyone who is having issues although it is expected this will be by appointment.
This hub will have advanced security and will be within the Partington Library and Wellbeing Centre on Central Road and will be open on Monday to Friday 9am until 5pm, according to our research Cash Access UK have not yet officially announced a full opening this month although on Facebook people are saying 9 September which is likely to be a trial/test run before an official opening is confirmed.
It has been confirmed security will be the same as every cash hub in the UK with staff working behind shatterproof glass and advanced CCTV, cash couriers will be G4S.
It is great news for Partington residents who have had to go to other areas for cash services or completely rely on ATM’s and have come at the right time as we head towards autumn and winter months.
