Three men one from Partington charged after building site break in

Cheshire Police got reports of intruders at Orchard View, Northwich during the evening of 22 June 2026

They attended the incident at around 8pm and shortly after arrested three men with one being from Partington.

The three men were named as Vincent Clayton aged 48 from Antrobus, Logan Clayton aged 28 from Partington both charged with theft by finding and will appear at Chester Magistrates Court on 23 October 2026. Dean Brereton aged 38 from Latchford who was charged with handling stolen goods and he will appear at Chester Magistrates Court on 20 October 2026.

For context: Theft from finding could carry as much as a 7-year sentence but this depends on what was found and kept, if it’s low cost items and the person has no previous record it could be a fine or a community order, anything higher value and with a record could mean a custodial sentence.
