A new 20 metre 5G mast is proposed to be built at the corner of Eastway and Washway Road in Sale.
The EE mast will have 6 antennas and other equipment including cabinets for the mast to be able to work, the location where this mast is proposed to be built is awful, it is higher than the trees behind it, way too close to residential property including a dentist and nearby schools.
Whilst we are aware EE has a bad signal in this area and could do with a mast being built, many people may feel the mast could have been built away from residential homes and schools despite any discounting they may have done since no specific safety data has ever been presented.
Only guidelines from a mobile phone friendly organisation (ICNIRP) gives the guidelines on mobile phone masts and other EMF related information which if anyone reads the guidelines will need a science degree to understand any of it which is not helpful.
From what we have gathered the safety of any mobile phone mast is not assured and having them so close to residential property is not a good thing, despite the need for a signal as in this case needs to be moved to a better location.
We expect this mast to be refused on siting and appearance, you can have your say by going to the Trafford Planning Portal and entering 120247 into the search bar.
