We have figures showing pollution in Partington has risen year on year, and it is set to get worse!

SAICA was seen for miles churning out it’s steam that they claim is safe, yet shortly after the air changed around Moss Lane and other roads.

We saw the steam change colour from a black grey to a pink colour as can be seen in the photo above, but it’s not just SAICA causing issues, other industry is badly polluting the area.

News4trafford are extremely concerned at the lack of interest by political figures in the area on the pollution issues, since it is them that can get change, they have a responsibility to make sure all residents are being protected.

Going around the area yesterday on what was a very nice but cool day, we also saw lot’s of areas in a bad state, Oak Road shops that really needs to be pulled down was in a shocking state, their was a tent with things we did not recognise within it.

Motorbikes could be heard in the distance probably ripping up farm land, rubbish on just about every walkway we went down, bins full although no big fridges or washing machines was left out anywhere so that was a plus.

The pollution issues need to be looked at and as soon as possible, it is a serious matter for all, and all should rightly be concerned, more so when your political figures are only half interested.

As for the rubbish problem in the area, it is for local groups that have been established to look at what needs to be done, I guess looking at grot spots and making sure the areas are as clean as it can be, amey and the parish council have responsibility and they need to see what can be done, also that dreadful housing association has some part to play in cleaning up some of the walk ways.

I am sure you will agree that living in a tip must make things worse, we can blame politocal figures and the council but ultimatly who’s fault is it for the rubbish? the fly-tipping etc?

This is not to say that “Only Partington” has this issue, of course not! check out Gorse Hill who have bad problems, this is an issue that needs to be looked at borough wide, since we care greatly about Partington and know this is the best area in Trafford by miles, we want to keep it that way and improve the area, by waking up certain people and expose those that pretend to be doing something but offering little.

We promise to keep all updated on pollution issues and hope also we can get the political people more involved with this.
