Cyclists from all over Trafford and other parts of Manchester came to the ‘Sale Cycling Day’ event funded by “TFGM” Women On Wheels Month, which was held on March 18 at the Waterside Arts Centre in Sale.
The weather was not good with a huge amount of rain falling, but this did not deter anyone with over fifty children taking part in the ‘Two by Two’ hoorah bike art activity, ten women trying out the taster ride and ‘Doctor Bike’ who was very busy fixing up people’s bikes.
Many of the cyclists present tried out Practical Cycles Cargo Bikes and Swifty Adult Scooters, there was more activities for children at the event, balance bikes, scooters and other bikes were all tried out.
One female cyclist who went on the taster ride said:” I Really enjoyed the ride out & good to see a few out despite the damp conditions”
The weather though was causing some issues, but cyclists are a tough lot and all had a great day, the event in some form will hopefully be back in the summer so watch this space for details.
Organiser Stella Jane Smith praised the leaders of the event and all the others and those that took part in rides and activities who made this event such a success.
