A two car road traffic collision occurred at around 1pm on bank holiday Monday at a well-known accident hotspot at the junction of Stanley Mount and the A56 in Sale.

Staff at a nearby Co-op food store said they saw all emergency services attend but was unaware of exactly what had happened that caused this crash.

A woman was taken to hospital with minor injuries after the crash, the most damaged car below remains outside the tanning shop on Stanley Mount.

The junction is a known accident hotspot with many crashes involving cars and motorbikes, it is also very dangerous for pedestrians and cyclists.
