Match commander for Manchester United v Celta vigo Superintendent Graeme Openshaw said: “As Manchester United welcomes fans on Thursday for the second-leg of the Europa League semi-final, I’d like to remind people that there may be disruption to the city centre, especially during rush hour, so please plan your journey accordingly.

“The match at Old Trafford kicks off at 8.05pm and fans from both sides are expected to congregate in the city centre throughout the day,

“The first leg in Spain saw both sets of fans enjoying a carnival-like atmosphere and we expect fans will equally enjoy their time before, during and after the match.

“We will be working with partners to ensure everyone enjoys the occasion and stays safe and well as making the disruption as minimal as possible.”
