A man was locked inside his own home during a burglary at a property on Cranleigh Drive in Sale.
Shortly after 2am on June 22, the victim, a 30-year-old male heard someone downstaors in his property, he shouted to the burglar to leave, the thief then threatened to hurt the victim if he didn’t go back upstairs.
The burglar then fled the scene via the front door with car keys and the house keys after locking the owner inside.
Detectives have now released a E-fit image of the burglar in the hope that someone may recognise him.
GMP’s Detective Constable Deborah Humphreys said: “People should feel safe in their own home and to catch a burglar rifling through your personal belongings is understandably upsetting.
“I’m hoping that someone might recognise the man pictured in the E-fit or have any information about the incident.
“You might have seen a man acting suspiciously in the area around the time of the offence, if so then please get in touch.”
Anyone with any information should call police on 101, quoting incident number 214 of 22/06/17, or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
