A female cyclist has died following a collision with a lorry in Salford.
At around 3.30pm on September 1st, police were called to Eccles Old Road, Salford, to reports of a collision involving a cyclist and a lorry.
The 18-year-old woman was trapped under a lorry and was freed by the fire service, she was taken to hospital where she sadly died.
Collision investigators are now appealing to the public for information.
Sergeant Brian Orr, of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “This is a tragic set of circumstances that have sadly taken the life of a woman and our thoughts are with her family at this incredibly difficult time.
“It happened at a busy time of day when people may have been around and I would like to appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time that may have witnessed this collision to contact us.
“We are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have dashcam footage of the incident.”
