Shortly after 1pm on October 3, police were called to reports of a man being pushed into a car in Windmill Road.
It as reported that two men had been seen forcing a man into the back of a black Audi A3 car before fleeing in the direction of Pimlott Way.
Further enquiries established that the Audi was driven with cloned registration plates and had been seen earlier that day at the Intu Trafford Centre.
Both men have been described as aged between 20 and 30-years-old, one of the men was wearing a jacket and the other a t-shirt.
Detective Inspector Simon Akker of GMP’s Trafford Borough said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of the man who was pushed into the car.
“We are trying to establish the exact circumstances surrounding this incident and want to ensure that the man has not come to any harm.
“I am appealing to anyone that may have information that could help us to come forward.
“If you witnesses anything suspicious in the area that you may believe may be connected to this incident then please contact police.”
