More misery for rail passengers on Wednesday due to strike action

Passengers have been affected badly both on bus and now rail, a strike is to be held on Nov 8 and will affect trains in Trafford including services to and from Altrincham and in Urmston.

Transpennine Express are also involved with the strike, we have checked, and services continue as normal from Altrincham, Urmston and Flixton, although they short notice alterations to the time-table may occur, you can get the latest information on train times HERE

We are already aware of big problems for passengers as trains are crowded during peak hours, pictures seen on social media show the issues and is unacceptable and dangerous,

It is not acceptable children are finding they cannot get on the train to school and left stranded, and vulnerable people not being able to get on a train.

The strike action called by the RMT on Wednesday will cause further chaos on the railways, and Northern are asking passengers on that day to get to the station early, as it will be more busy than normal.
