Below are the venues at which you can come along and pay respect those that died in world wars, and for those currently in action overseas, we also pay respect for the many service men and women who have come back from recent wars with life changing injuries.
These men and women are truly our heroes, every one of them fighting to keep the peace, and all the freedoms we enjoy today.
Services/Parades will be held at:
- Altrincham – Garden of remembrance, Dunham Road opposite St Margaret’s Church – 10.50am
- Bowdon – Bowdon Parish Church, Stamford Road, Bowdon- 10.45am
- Hale – War Memorial, Broomfield Lane, Hale – Parade 2.55pm and service 3.15pm
- Hale Barns – Hale Barns War Memorial which is at the JNC of Hale Road and Wicker Lane – 10.55am
- Partington – Partington War memorial, Warburton Lane – 10.55am
- Sale – War Memorial, School Road (outside the town hall) – 10.55am
- Stretford – War Memorial, Chester Road A56 – 10.55am
- Urmston – War Memorial, Davyhulme Circle, Crofts Bank Road, Davyhulme – Parade at 10.30am from outside the Library in Urmston, service will start at 10.50am
Weather forecast is for dry weather, but cold so if you are going to any of these venues, you would be wise to wear something warm.
