Former Bullseye host and comedian Jim Bowen has died aged 80, his wife broke the news on a BBC radio channel, he died peacefully at his home this morning.
Jim was born in Wirral Cheshire in 1937, the former teacher will be best known for his hosting on Bullseye which he did from 1981 until 1994.
Bullseye the darts quiz show drew in big audiences back in the day, when darts was very popular.
He also starred in a programme called ‘The comedians’ from 1971 to 1993 and other programmes and shows.
Jim also had a career in radio which was from 1999 to 2002 on BBC Radio Lancashire.
He has two children Peter and Susan and his wife Phyllis who he married in 1959 and remained together until his death.
