Incidents of assault against staff and members of the public go up on the trams in Trafford

The total number of incidents of assault against staff and members of the public between 01/01/2016 and 25/03/2018 is 23. Six of these are recorded as having taken place at the interchange and 17 at locations along the line (between Trafford Bar and Altrincham) – a breakdown of dates, times and locations is below.

Incidents recorded as assaults include incidents of spitting and where a person has been pushed. The information provided relates to incidents recorded by the Metrolink operator and interchange staff, it doesn’t necessarily reflect incidents reported to GMP, which we might not be aware of
